Qualified for the tournament by finishing third at ICC WT20 Qualifier 2008 in Ireland, beating Kenya in the playoff.
Finished sixth at the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2009 in South Africa, failing to qualify for ICC CWC 2011, but retaining One-day International status.
Won the ICC Trophy 2005, beating Ireland in the final at Dublin.
Scotland hosted two games at ICC Cricket World 1999.
Gained ICC Associate membership status in 1994, having been part of English cricket prior to that.
Recently awarded its first professional contracts to three players: Dewald Nel, Gordon Goudie and Ryan Watson.
Won the inaugural ICC Intercontinental Cup in 2004.
Plays in the Friends Provident Trophy limited overs tournament in England and is known as Scottish Saltires in this competition.
